It was such an honour to sing at Betty's funeral today. The words to the songs felt like a perfect telling of the love that she and Tom had. And the tributes and photos from Karen and Mark were so lovely to hear. There was so much love and joy in the church today. I felt I got to know Betty and her wonderful family a little. I just wish i'd met her. Love Aneesa x

So many of our parishioners in Christ Church, Bray have wonderful memories of Betty Shields over the years. Her kindness, her quiet faith and her beautiful garden. For us here in the rectory, we were blessed to have Betty and Tom as our neighbours and friends. Our love and prayers for Tom, Karen and Mark at this difficult time. May peace, strength and joy surround you, and all who’s loss is so great. ‘Till we meet again!
